The idea of this practice is that you are the changing X variable and the equation is the same everyday. This really helps to understand (based on performance) how daily activities affect your body. For instance, If i Juice all day and stay really hydrated and not go out partying the night before, I will kick A$$ in my bikram class. however, if I party ALL NIGHT then wake up, eat pizza like a champ, then hit Bikram….I will be laying in “Savasana” (dead body pose) for most of the class. It makes you listen to your body, rethink that bowl of recess puff cereal and grab an apple instead ;).
I started doing Bikram about 4 years ago, I am still learning so much about myself and the practice. I have been debating getting my teaching cerification, but I really want to have a better foundation with each posture before I take that step. I have practiced in AUSTIN TEXAS at PURE yoga studio, HOUSTON TEXAS at Bikram yoga Houston, and TEL- AVIV Bikram Yoga Karlibach, it is very interesting to do yoga in a language you do not speak, you really have to follow the energy of the class. The ability to practice anywhere in the world is really inspiring to me, it makes me think that I will never be somewhere without my yoga, and in a way i feel a lot less alone.
Juice is a huge part of staying healthy in every facet of the word.
Your skin, hair, eyes, brain power, energy, immune system….this juicing stuff affects all of that and so much more.
Not to mention, it helps you stay skinny and fit, with the right proportions, you can substitute snacks and even meals.
It can get expensive if your buying juices pre-made, which is why i suggest buying your own professional grade juicer, when you get serious about your health it becomes a lifestyle.
Its also really fun, possibilities are endless.
